HLRS and Media Solution Center to Host eCulture Convention

The meeting will bring experts from Europe and America together to discuss new developments in art, culture, and economy in the context of digitalization.

Registration is now open for a conference titled The Economic and Cultural Impacts of the Digital Age, which will take place at the High-Performance Computing Center Stuttgart (HLRS) on September 15-17, 2021. Organized by HLRS and the Media Solution Center Baden-Württemberg, the event will focus on opportunities that recent trends in art, culture, and the economy offer for future research at the intersection of digital technologies and the arts, particularly in the context of projects being coordinated by the Media Solution Center.

The event will also celebrate the start of the Research and Creation Center for Computational Based Art, Culture, and Economy, which will connect young creators with high-tech tools and industrial partners to help them develop their ideas and build knowledge.


The three-day meeting will include presentations and workshops by media artists from the Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe (ZKM), Hochschule der Medien Stuttgart, and Fundación Èpica La Fura dels Baus, as well as the following keynote talks.
